Riddle: Marge and Lucille were best of friends, but both of them were highly competitive. One day they entered a grueling 50-mile bicycle race along with a large group of other contestants. Lucille was the more experienced of the two riders, but throughout the race, Marge was always out in front of her. Not once did she allow Lucille to pass her, but Lucille's fiery, competitive spirit would not be quenched, as she never let Marge out of her sight for even one instant. Even after 50 long miles, Marge and Lucille were only separated by a couple of feet, with Marge finally passing the finish line less than one second ahead of Lucille. Neither racer won, but they both finished in the top ten of all the competitors. After the race, Lucille was asked about her competing with her friend Marge. All Lucille would say was, "I couldn't have passed her, even if I had wanted to. In fact, it was impossible." What led Lucille to make such a bizarre statement?"
Answer: Marge and Lucille had been participating in a tandem bicycle race (bicycles built for two people).

Riddle: Charles woke up one morning to find himself trapped inside a prison made of what appeared to be unbreakable glass. Having no memory of how he got there, he looked around and was horrified to see two of his closest friends lying on their sides - dead. The last thing Charles remembered before falling asleep, was seeing both of his pals alive and in good health; but now they were both dead, and he wondered if he soon would be sharing their fate. As the days passed, his captors allowed him to have plenty of water, but allowed him only a few crumbs of food each day. Over time, Charles often heard his jailers talking amongst themselves, stating if he were ever able to escape his cell, he would certainly be dead within a matter of minutes. Who exactly is Charles, and why have his captors never been brought to justice?
Answer: Charles and his two friends were pet goldfish placed in an unbreakable glass fish bowl by their owners. Unfortunately, his two friends died.
Riddle: Stanley loved fishing and also loved boasting about how an amazing person he is. One day he went into a bar after fishing, and started telling people in the bar about something that just happened. "So I was fishing by the waters, really nice breeze, and suddenly there was this person who creeped from behind and wanted to stab me in the stomach. Because I'm so good in Kung Fu, I turned back and WHAM! I slapped him in the face!" Everyone enjoyed the rest of the story when one person asked him: "You're lying, Stan, are you?" How did the man knew that Stanley was lying?
Answer: How can the man stab Stanley in the stomach if he's creeping up from BEHIND?
Riddle: Dynamite is a tool that can be used to cut down trees. Cutting a tree 18 inches in diameter requires five sticks of dynamite: one on the north, south, east and west sides of the tree, and the fifth stick on the side to which the tree should fall. During the construction of a dam, a tree 18 inches in diameter was completely covered by water. Since the treetop was fouling the boat's propellers, it had to be cut down. A diver went down and put a stick of dynamite on the four sides of the tree. Since the current is flowing south at 2 knots per hour, on which side of the tree would you instruct the diver to put the fifth stick of dynamite if you wanted the tree to fall north?
Answer: It doesn't matter where the fifth stick is placed, since the tree won't fall in any direction. Being wood, it will float and rise to the surface.
