Riddle: A farmer has a fox, a goat, and a cabbage. He has a very small boat that can only carry himself and one other animal. The only problem is if the fox and the goat are left unattended then the fox will eat the goat, but if the goat and cabbage is the alone then the goat will eat the cabbage. How will the farmer take all of them across to the other side of the river.
Answer: The farmer should take the goat across first then come back for the cabbage. When he gets to the other side with the cabbage he should leave the cabbage and take the goat back. After getting to the original side with the goat he should leave the goat and take the fox. When he crosses the river with the fox he leaves it with the cabbage and returns for the goat. When he arrives with the goat they all live happily ever after.
