Riddle:
Mrs. Fortini has been married for 10 years. For her 10th wedding anniversary, she got a pair of beautiful diamond earrings. Mrs. Fortini also has two daughters–Beatrice and Ivy–who always touch her stuff. One day, Mrs. Fortini was going to put on the earrings, when she found out that they had been stolen. She concluded that it must have been one of her daughters, so she asked them, "I've told you two so many times to not take my things! Who took my jewelry this time?". Beatrice said, "I never touch your jewelry box!". Ivy also denied taking her mom's stuff; "I don't wear earrings!", she said. Who stole the earrings?
Answer: It was Ivy who stole the earrings. Her mother didn't specify which piece of jewelry was missing.

Inspector Bradstreet, a highly respected police detective with 25 years of investigative experience on the force, was in a room with four homicide suspects: Joan, Shirley, Dorothy, and Irene. He was in the room with the four of them for at least 15 minutes, but for some reason, he had not started interrogating the suspects, despite the fact that a dead body, which had a knife sticking out of its back, lay on the floor in the room with them. One of the four suspects had called 911 to summon the police at some point. Why hadn't this highly decorated and respected detective started his investigation into the obvious murder by questioning the four suspects? For what reason was he waiting?
Answer: Inspector Bradstreet was dead. It was his body that had the knife stuck in it.
Riddle:
My Grandpa Joe is nearly a hundred years old, and he has been experiencing some memory loss recently. Around breakfast time the other day, he was in the kitchen, and couldn’t find something he was desperately hunting. “Where are those delicious little puffs of goodness your mother always keeps in here?” he asked me. “You know, the ones that sound like they came out of a swamp; you know, those tasty little cylinders made of sugar, water, corn syrup, gelatin, and glucose. How does your mother expect me to have my morning cup of cocoa?” he asked in a frustrated manner. “I am looking for those white things which are often found out in the woods near campfires. Why, there was even a giant one I saw last week when I was watching that original Ghostbusters movie with you,” said Grandpa Joe. With the help of all the clues he had just given me, I was able to locate the items my grandfather had been seeking. Can you tell me what those items were?
Answer: They sound like they come from a Swamp because they are: MARSH MALLOWS.

Riddle:
Dynamite is a tool that can be used to cut down trees. Cutting a tree 18 inches in diameter requires five sticks of dynamite: one on the north, south, east and west sides of the tree, and the fifth stick on the side to which the tree should fall. During the construction of a dam, a tree 18 inches in diameter was completely covered by water. Since the treetop was fouling the boat's propellers, it had to be cut down. A diver went down and put a stick of dynamite on the four sides of the tree. Since the current is flowing south at 2 knots per hour, on which side of the tree would you instruct the diver to put the fifth stick of dynamite if you wanted the tree to fall north?
Answer: It doesn't matter where the fifth stick is placed, since the tree won't fall in any direction. Being wood, it will float and rise to the surface.

The Question: What could he have said?
Answer: General Gasslefield said: "I will be shot." If this statement was true, he would have been hung and thus not be shot.
